David, 24, has been in scintillating form for Lille this season, scoring 13 goals and delivering two assists across 19 competitive appearances. Although David’s performances have already drawn interest from several top European clubs, Bayern appear particularly keen on the Canadian star, especially amid uncertainty surrounding Mathys Tel’s future. The 18-year-old Bayern striker has caught the attention of Nottingham Forest, with the Premier League side reportedly initiating contact regarding a potential loan move in the winter transfer window. However, Tel is reportedly reluctant to leave Bayern at this stage. If Tel were to reconsider and opt for a loan, it may elevate Bayern’s interest in David as they seek to reinforce their attack.

Bayern have also been linked with Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyokeres. However, the Swedish forward’s transfer would come at a steep price, estimated at £61 million ($77m).
