The 18-year-old is considered to be one of the hottest prospects in world football, with his move to Santiago Bernabeu generating plenty of excitement. He has, however, registered just two goals for the Blancos and been restricted to 82 minutes of La Liga action through 12 substitute appearances.

Endrick was given a rare start in Real’s Copa del Rey clash with four tier minnows Deportivo Minera, and looked lively throughout a crushing 5-0 win. He did, however, fail to find the target himself or provide an assist, with end product remaining in short supply.

Madrid boss Ancelotti told reporters afterwards when asked for his take on a youngster that is having to bide his time in search of a spark: “He had a good game, he moved well, he had opportunities, his movement is always effective behind the attacking line. He lacked accuracy, but his game was very good. And he was very dangerous on the right. He must be patient, he will score goals when we need them.”

There has been talk of Endrick heading out on loan in the January transfer window – as he faces fierce competition for places from the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo – but Real remain confident that he will come good for them.
